Atentem: Peter Kruder colocou as lajes no caminho que muitos hoje percorrem. Com Richard Dorfmeister lançou, em 1993, a G-Stone, editora que haveria de ajudar a definir o que se chamou o som de Viena. Editando Tosca, Peace Orchestra ou Stereotyp, entre outros, foi este som de Viena que levou até a muitos clubbers dos anos 90 as ambiências relaxadas, cheias de fumo, nevoeiro, piscadelas de olho ao Jazz e batidas (umas mais quebradas que outras) que mostraram que nem só das pistas de dança de alta energia se vive. Em 1998, o duo Richard & Dorfmeister edita um álbum de remisturas que acabaria por se tornar praticamente indispensável: the K&D Sessions, tocado até à exaustão até nos sítios mais inusitados. E voltamos ao início, às tais lajes no caminho: arriscamo-nos a dizer que sem as influências da G-Stone e de Peter Kruder, directa ou indirectamente, talvez a sonoridade de artistas como Nicholas Jaar ou Valentin Stip fosse um pouco diferente.
Oportunidade para espreitar as escolhas musicais de Kruder em formato DJ set, focadas nos caminhos para a dança com muito groove e musicalidade hipnótica. De Lisboa a Viena é um instante, viagem fácil com esta mala de discos.

Pay attention: Peter Kruder laid the foundation for the path where many are walking nowadays.
In 1993, he launched, along with Richard Dorfmeister, G-Stone, the label that would help define what was called “The Vienna sound”. Releasing music from Tosca, Peace Orchestra or Stereotyp, among others, it was the Vienna Sound that introduced 90s clubbers to more relaxed ambiences, smoky and foggy, nodding at Jazz and using more or less broken beats, proving that not only highly energized music fills up the dance floors. In 1998, Richard & Dorfmeister released a remix album that would become almost indispensable: The K&D Sessions, played nearly up until the point of exhaustion practically everywhere. And we’re back to laying the foundation: we risk saying that, without the influences of G-Stone and Peter Kruder, directly or indirectly, maybe the sound of artists such as Nicholas Jaar or Valentin Stip would be different.
A great opportunity to check out Kruder’s musical choices in a DJ set format, focused towards moving the dancefloor with a lot of groove and hypnotic musicality. It’s a big ride from Lisbon to Vienna with Peter Kruder as Captain.
