MARC O’REILLY

Irish folk/blues troubadour Marc O’Reilly will release his new album ‘Human Herdings’ on 28th March’14.
Following the release of his critically acclaimed debut album ‘My Friend Marx’ in 2011, Marc O’Reilly has established himself as one of the most exciting artists within the folk/blues genre gaining comparisons with artists such as John Martyn and Bon Iver.

2013 saw Marc tour all over Europe including appearances at major festivals like Glastonbury, Electric Picnic and Boardmasters and squeezing in a trip to the US to appear at the Live in the Vineyard Festival in Napa, California.

His alter-ego side project with his brother Pierre, the electro-pop duo ‘R’, recently receieved excellent radio support for their debut single ‘Change’ from tastemakers such as Steve Lamacq (BBC 6music), Janice Long (BBC Radio 2) and Paul Mcloone (Today FM) and reached Number 1 on the Amazing Radio Chart.

As if that wasn’t enough to keep him busy, Marc has also provided vocals on 3 tracks for the new album by MOBO winning act Karios 4tet which was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, has received 4 star reviews from Mojo, The Independent and Guardian and has led to the recording of a live BBC Maida Vale session for the Jamie Cullum Show on BBC Radio 2.

CIARAN LAVERY

Ciaran has already racked up over 11 MILLION plays on Spotify, this is unprecedented for such a new artist.
You might be asking how can this be, when his other social stats are quite modest? The answer is really quite simple, he has great songs, people have added them to playlists on Spotify which have been listened to and then added to more playlists and so on and so on.

Ciaran Lavery found his musical voice through the simplest of means “…listening to old 80s singles on my sister’s record player.” Cutting his young teeth in various (often noisier) incarnations over the last decade – that voice is now as soothing as it is timeless. Ciaran crafts heart-on-sleeve acoustic pop in the vein of ‘29’-era Ryan Adams; full of passion and meaning, “I come from a tiny village; you could literally drive through Aghagallon in thirty seconds, but it’s jam packed full of characters and real, genuine people. It’s the type of place where if you’re being an idiot someone will tell you. That’s just how the environment was. I guess that sort of honesty comes out in my music.”

“It’s sound of a songwriter who’s very very in touch with his own ability and comfortable in his own skin.” – Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1
“Lavery’s songwriting is nothing short of remarkable. His most recent EP is his best yet, bursting with can’t-be-faked honesty and emotion” – Hot Press
“strong, crafted, hugely engaging songwriting” – Jim Carroll, Irish Times
“One To Watch” – Irish Independent
“it remains a fact: Lavery is very easily in the top three greatest songsmiths in the country, if not the most naturally-gifted Northern Irish voices of his generation” – The Thin Air
