Party: SUP Club – Return of the Dragon!

We're looking forward to cooling off tonight after a humid day with some flood tide fun and games at Chalkwell (www.supsect.com/chalkwell-beach nearest postcode, SS0 8JJ) – meeting from 6.40pm for a 7pm launch at the earliest, as there's unlikely to be much water before that ahead of a 9.30 high. Plus Jamie Harman will be joining us with the Red Paddle range for demo – and a pair of 4-person Dragons for some fun team racing... Unfortunately, this afternoon's weather forecast isn't quite what we'd have ordered: we're expecting a gusty onshore wind with associated chop! But no problem, we'll keep it tight off the beach so we can try some different boards and enjoy a splashabout in warm, if choppy, summer waters. (Worst case scenario there might be some natural selection as to who can make it out in tricky conditions. But we're hoping it should be perfectly doable for most of us. Just don't expect to stay dry!) Everyone with their own kit is super-welcome, and for this week only we'll be offering our trailer fleet for free to our SUP school Ready to Ride graduates. Then as long as you're in possession of a paddle, you're welcome to try the Red Paddle kit. Afterwards, we're planning to make like teenagers again and stay on the green – so bring your own booze, plus whatever you want to eat (we're expecting it to be way too breezy for barbeques, so pack pasties, sandwiches, Pot Noodles; whatever you fancy that needs minimal prep!)
