Given the latest forecast (very light north-westerly wind!) for tonight's SUP Club we're going to go for Chalkwell to Thorpe Bay on a ripping ebb tide – and potentially super-flat water. Meeting pretty early at 5.45pm on the rigging green (SS0 8JJ, see www.wetndrysup.com/sup-locations/chalkwell-beach/) we're aiming for a quick briefing at 6pm then launch before the water disappears! As ever, leashes compulsory. We're hoping to hit the coastguard station within 90 minutes, before crossing the road to the Shorehouse pub (SS3 9HQ) for a sundowner and possibly food. Logistics for lifts / taxis back to the start to be arranged at the end. Unfortunately we're unable to get the trailer to the launch in time so cannot offer hire kit tonight. Everyone with their own kit is super-welcome though!
