• Why is this event so special? •

It is reported that over 60 million American's (1 in 5 people) live with some sort of mental health condition. There were 41,149 suicides in 2013 in the United States—a rate of 12.6 per 100,000 is equal to 113 suicides each day or one every 13 minutes. (CDC.gov). A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to help cover the startup costs needed to launch We Are Superheroes, a new DMV-based non-profit organization. Founded by Transit's own L.J. Tisdale / LJ MTX, this charity will establish the FIRST support network of its kind; a support network catered to those in the Dance Music Community who are directly affected by Mental Illness, and will lead the fight to “wash” away the stigmas against them. You are making a world of difference by simply attending this groundbreaking event.
