This month’s film is ‘Arrival’, Denis Villeneuve’s thrilling sci-fi epic released in 2016, which received much critical acclaim. When twelve mysterious spacecraft appear around the world, linguistics professor Louise Banks is asked by the army to interpret the language of the apparent alien visitors, whilst confusion reigns around the world. Great performances from Amy Adams as Professor Banks and Forest Whitaker as Colonel Weber.

Film Club members free. Non-members pay a £2.50 nightly membership fee at the door.
