The Kore Family is extremely excited to have two amazing dancers from the Winnipeg community bring their movement and style to our home this weekend! This is the first time for both of them to teach at Kore, so please come out and support these amazing people!

Dan Sanguisin is one of Winnipeg's up and coming dancers/choreographers. His passion grew strong when he first joined a local team in 2014 known as "The Empire". Year after year, as his love for dance began to flourish, he was given opportunities such as joining “Prodigy" for the year 2015-2016, and now is the assistant director under Alemar Regala and Jezel Axelan. In the end of 2016, he is now a member of Prodigy, Prodigals, QVC and also the new of The Empire. The Empire will be competing in local competitions and hope for a bright future with dan as their director. He is determined to lead his teams to growth and success.

Class Description: Dan loves to let the song take over his body and emotions. He focuses on performing the song as if the dancer was the one who wrote it. Also, individuality is key.


Alemar Regala has become one of the most respected and prominent dancer/choreographers in the Winnipeg dance scene. What started as casually joining a local dance team, he quickly became infatuated with dance, which today has lead him to many accomplishments. He is the current director of a competitive varsity team formerly known as PRODIGY based in Winnipeg, who took 2nd place at In the Zone 8 2015 in Winnipeg. Every summer for the last few years he would take it upon himself to further his training outside of his hometown, taking him to Edmonton, Calgary, LA, and Vancouver. For the summers of 2013 - 2015, Alemar would reside in Vancouver for the opportunity to join TwoFourSeven Company & Brotherhood to compete at the World Hip Hop International Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2014, he alongside the Brotherhood took 1st place in the Adult Division.

Alemar currently teaches at Encore Studios in Winnipeg and teaches drop in classes at LIVE Dance Centre, but also continues to educate and train himself in all styles of hip hop dance. Described as a captivating performer and proficient freestyle dancer, he feels as dancers, “understanding your body and how it moves” is most important. As a choreographer, he tries to connect with the music and convey what the artist is trying to say through movement. With his family, friends, and students being his main source of inspiration, Alemar continues to share his love for dance throughout his everyday life and is anxious to accomplish more.

Class Description: Alemar teaches an urban style of Hip Hop choreography mainly based on grooves and powerful controlled movements. He promotes individuality and personal expression in his classes.
