Party: Latin Dance for Kids

Dancing is the language of the soul

Dance is an exciting way for children to develop important social skills, to exercice and to have fun.
It enhances the children with self-confidence, style, grace, coordination and posture.

Starting at an early age is the best time to start learning how to dance. Children learn movement patterns easily when they are young, similar to when they learn language.

Learning how to dance can let your children’s hearts speak; not through words but through action. Latin dance is known for the feeling it evokes, from energetic to sensual. It consists of the Cha-cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, and the Jive.

After starting our class, your children will begin to develop dance concepts that will be used in Latin Dancing. They will be learning beginning technique and basic terminology, while still emphasizing creative expression as they learn the basics of different Latin dances like Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Salsa, Jive... They will eventually start working on routines for performances, after they have an understanding of the basic foundation.

About the instructors:

Johny Haskour and Tatiana Wakim are young dancers.

They are Currently following a professional training with Abrazame y Baila. The training is based on a smooth coordination between breathing and movement, thus resulting into a fluid yet relaxed movements. They are following an intensive training focusing on the basics of partner connection, stability, core strength, and flexibility which refer to the the Linkore technique developed by Maestro Tofic Anton, a PHD holder and a professional dancer, after his long research and experiment on the body parts movement.

Linkore technique connects breathing to movement and improves flexibility, mobility, strength and body balance. It can be practiced individually or as a couple.
The technique allows genuine body air circulation instead of forced movement and articulations. It helps you manage physical pain more effectively by relaxing your muscles, preventing spinal disorders, improving oxygen delivery, lowering blood pressure, improving detoxification and hindering injuries caused by sports.

Johny started dancing 5 years ago. He started his career at Khanito Dance Academy; he moved to Star dance and then to Nameless Dance Academy.
Tatiana has been dancing for 4 years. She started her career at Nameless Dance Academy and took some classes in Bucharest, Romania.
Johny and Tatiana have been partners for three years. They took several classes and workshops together at Nameless Dance Academy. They performed in national competitions and they’ve won the title of Lebanese Dance Sport Champions for two years in a row (2015-2016). They also performed in several dance shows at local festivals and weddings.
