SECT are joining the Hyde Park Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer.

This is a women's only race, but we would love the guys to sponsor us, and come along to cheer us on!

The London - Hyde Park course is all on the internal roads within the park. It takes a scenic route in and around Hyde Park, past Serpentine Lake and through Kensington Gardens.

The meeting point for both races is in the south of the park, to the south of the Serpentine lake and adjacent to South Carriage Drive. Please follow signage and directions from stewards to the event site.

>£8 kits out CRUK scientists with a lab timer, helping them to find out what makes a cancer cell tick.

> £70 pays for a Bunsen burner to help ignite ground-breaking research on a daily basis.

> £180 pays for one day of a trial to discover faster diagnosis and new therapies to treat brain cancer.

> £450 pays for one day of a trial to diagnose prostate cancer earlier and more efficiently.
