This course runs over five Sundays and is designed to consolidate the experience and knowledge gained in KidSail. Skills and knowledge are introduced that will enable you to safely and competently sail a dinghy in controlled conditions independently.
The course provides a safe and enjoyable next step in small boat sailing for novice and intermediate sailors. The Successful sailor will be able to manoeuvre the boat efficiently in light to moderate conditions on all points of sail. Topics covered include enhanced crewing and helming techniques including roll tacking and roll gybing, sailing without a rudder and sailing backwards.
