Roman Flügel
Rui Trintaeum
The chamaleonic and non-conformist character of Roman Flügel has set him as a central piece of german’s electronic music scene.
In 1993 he founded the major label Ongaku Records and sublabels Klang Elektronik and Playhouse with fellow producer and Delerium record shop owner Jörn Wuttke ( with whom he collaborated in many projects such as the widely known Alter Ego and Acid Jesus), setting a new visibility platform for european house and techno.
As a DJ, he is someone that honours the music. When playing, each record is given time to properly breathe, so it’s form and character can bleed onto the dancefloor, before giving a deep and progressive mix into the next record.
As a producer, besides his inumerous aliases, he has released through Dial, Ongaku/Klang/Playhouse, Cocoon Records, Turbo, Live at Robert Johnson, Clone Jack for Daze, Hivern Discs, Hypercolour and Phonica Records.
His most recent EP, “1995”, just came out through young label Hardworksoftdrink.
