Party: Ivan Drever at Montrose Folk Club

Well the "summer" break is coming to a close and the new Folk Club season kicks off in fine style with Ivan Drever.

Ivan Drever, originally from Orkney, and the father of acclaimed Lau vocalist, Kris Drever, came to prominence as the Lead Singer and Guitarist with the popular Celtic Rock Band, Wolfstone.

After leaving Wolfstone, Ivan Drever toured regularly in a Duo with fiddle player, Duncan Chisolm. Now resident in Norway, Ivan will be performing solo on his current tour of Scotland.

In 2015, Ivan Drever released an album titled “Revisited (The Wolfstone Songs)”, which covers tunes and songs, many written by Ivan, which were originally recorded on the many successful Wolfstone albums. In May 2016, Ivan Drever has released a new album called “Revisited 2”, consisting of new recordings of many of the most popular songs from the 25 years over which Ivan has toured and recorded as a full time performer.
