During the month of November, contestants representing over a dozen community businesses compete for the title of "Chicago's Sexiest" to raise money for Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN) in its month-long, online strip-a-thon fundraiser, "Barlesque 8". As people visit the Barlesque website and donate money, the contestants appear in various stages of undress—ranging from fully dressed to "nature's best." The more you raise, the more you see! The competition officially runs from Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, November 22, 11:59:59 PM. Donations received beyond that time will not be counted toward the winner of the Barlesque competition, but will be posted on the Barlesque website. All money raised through Barlesque goes directly to TPAN’s HIV services.
Barlesque 8 is a non-profit event benefiting the Test Positive Aware Network. Proceeds from the competition go directly to TPAN's programs and services, which includes free HIV testing, preventative outreach and education, and connecting people who are newly diagnosed with medical care.
