Für das im August 2011 erschienene Werk „The Flood“, das bis auf Platz 28 der Billboard-Charts kletterte, wurden Of Mice & Men 2012 für einen Kerrang! Award nominiert. Seither tourte die Band um den gesamten Globus, was ihnen 2013 den Gewinn eines Kerrang! Awards als „beste Live-Band“ einbrachte. Seit Juni ist die Formation nun im Studio und arbeitet am dritten Longplayer, der Anfang 2014 erscheinen und laut Carlile stilistisch stärker dem NuMetal zugewandt sein soll. Auf ihrer anschließenden Tournee werden Of Mice & Men begleitet von den beiden Metalcore-Newcomern Issues aus Atlanta/Georgia, die in Kürze ihr Debütalbum veröffetlichen werden, sowie von Beartooth aus Ohio, der neuen Formation um den ex-Attack Attack!-Frontmann Caleb Joshua Shomo, die erst im Januar 2013 ihr erstes Konzert gaben und derzeit an ihrem Debütalbum arbeiten.

Issues is an American metalcore band from Atlanta, Georgia. They formed in the summer of 2012 and were signed to Rise Records shortly after their formation. They have released one EP and have released their self-titled debut album on February 18, 2014.

Producer, songwriter and Goldfinger guitarist John Feldman is something of a kindred spirit for Shomo, working with genre defining bands like The Used, Atreyu, Good Charlotte and Black Veil Brides and helping to sell over 34 million albums around the world. In his role as A&R for Red Bull Records, Feldman reached out to Shomo about lending his songwriting, production and performance talents to the emerging music brand. Over a smooth and natural evolution, Beartooth was off and running, making plans to record and tour as a genuine band, leaking songs on YouTube to tons of views, hand crafting unique physical EPs.
This new EP represents Caleb Shomo’s heart committed to record, in a way that’s raw, naked, honest and exceptionally relatable. That emotional catharsis, playing itself out via heavy music, is as much an escape for the multitalented frontman as it is for those who consume it.
