On July 31st we are going back to Lux Frágil for the 26th edition of the Hard Ass Sessions, Enchufada’s bimonthly clubnight where we bring some of the best Global Club Music artists from around the world to curate Lisbon’s most tropical parties yet.
This time we’ve hit up the one and only DJ Satélite, the renowned Angolan DJ and producer who first made a name for himself in the early 2000′s by making some of the wildest kuduro beats out there, but he’s recently been under the spotlight for fully embracing Luanda’s latest dancefloor craze: afro-house. Slowing down the tempo but keeping all the intensity and feeling, DJ Satélite is one of the most well known artists in this extremely lively scene, and his memorable DJ sets leave no room for questioning why. Expect a masterclass on Angolan dance music that must be witnessed (and danced to) on the front row.
After inviting a veteran such as DJ Satélite, we thought we needed to add some young blood to the lineup to balance it out, and who better to fill that role that our own Dotorado Pro, the young prodigy that’s revolutionizing Lisbon’s Global Club scene. You’ve probably had his ‘African Scream‘ anthem stuck in your head for weeks, but if you still haven’t heard it in the club on a massive soundsystem among hundreds of screaming dancers, then you haven’t really felt the power of this genre-defining track. And that’s not even mentioning the tons of amazing unreleased beats he has stashed on his computer, so make sure you don’t miss the young producer’s Lux debut.
Last but definitely not least we’ve got our beloved team of resident DJs consisting of Enchufada label head Branko, who’s dying to show his hometown all the amazing tunes he’s been recording for his forthcoming debut album ‘Atlas’ (by the way, have you heard the first single Eventually?), and Rastronaut, who consistently brings energy levels way up with his killer selections from all across the global club music spectrum.
