Mick Foster baritone sax, Laura Jurd trumpet, Robert Fowler tenor sax, Adrian Fry trombone, Dave Chamberlain bass, Tristan Mailliot drums.
Mick Foster is a saxophonist, clarinettist and composer and has appeared with many top ensembles. He is a master of the baritone saxophone with an obvious debt to Gerry Mulligan as shown in tonight’s setting.
Laura Jurd is an award-winning trumpet player, and BBC New Generation Artist for 2015-2017. Laura has developed a formidable reputation as one of the most creative young musicians to emerge from the UK in recent years.
Robert Fowler is a freelance Jazz saxophonist with a broad warm tone. He has worked with many bands on the British jazz scene as well as working across other areas of the musical spectrum.
Adrian Fry is a freelance jazz trombonist, arranger and composer. He has performed with many British bands including Back to Basie, Frank Griffith Nonet & Big Band, Elio Pace and the Karen Sharp Quintet.
Dave Chamberlain has been a full time bass player2002. He has played with Blue Note recording artist Stacey Kent and many other leading Jazz performers as well as a classical orchestra or two.
Tristan Maillot studied at Dartington College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. He has appeared with many leading UK and international artists, including Art Farmer, Jim Hall and Peter King.
