Open Mic was started at Dangar Island Bowling Club in March 2009 by Matt Johnson, and had been going strong ever since with great community support. It is perhaps the most significant regular cultural event for the water access only residents of the Lower Hawkesbury and draws musicians and music lovers from as far upriver as Spencer all the way down to Brooklyn and beyond. December 1st is the 100th edition and we would love to see all the music pros and enthusiastic amateurs join us for the celebrations!
