The Eleventh Hour of the Eleventh Day of the Eleventh Month of the year 2014 will mark the 96th Anniversary of the signing of the Armistice signifying the end of World War One.

It is at this time our nation pauses to acknowledge with sadness the extraordinary loss these young nations, Australia and New Zealand suffered as a result of the Great War.

Currumbin Palm Beach RSL will reflect on our national losses from all wars and conflicts that have occurred during the last century and in doing so, acknowledge the extraordinary obligations that have fallen upon young Australians, in pursuit of world peace. As proud Australians and New Zealanders, we will always remember them.

On behalf of Currumbin Palm Beach RSL, I extend an invitation to the community to be with us on this day , to lay a Cross of Remembrance and reflect on the past efforts of those who gave their lives for us to be where
we are today, living in peace, in the most beautiful country on earth.

Special Guests this year will be Mr. and Mrs. Keith Payne VC OAM DSC SS (US).

9.00am – Arrival
9.45am – White Cross of Remembrance Ceremony
10.00am – Remembrance Day Cenotaph Ceremony
11.10am – Releasing of White Doves
11.25am – Conclusion
