Party: Extraordinary General Meeting and Dance

The club will be hosting an Extraordinary General Meeting before the regular lesson and dance. Meeting starts at 7pm sharp, it's purpose is to discuss and vote on new bylaws for the club. As a registered non-profit entity we are required by law to have this done by Nov. 30 of this year. To expedite the meeting please familiarize yourself with the bylaws that were attached to the email you received October 18/16.
*We require 20% of the membership to attend to have a quorum, so please make it a priority.

All EGM attendees are able to attend the lesson with Chris Desjardins at no charge. Our way of saying thank you.

Christopher has been dancing for more than 20 years, he has competed throughout North America acheiving All-Star / Champion status. He later became an instructor, judge and advocate for Dance in the North West. He is the founding President of the BC swing dance club. Retiring from competition several years ago he now focuses more on the social aspects of the dance community.

As well there will be a beginner lesson with Michael & Amy Shibasaki. Michael &Amy currently teach group classes at a local studio and are known for their warm and freindly manner with students. Both currently compete several times a year ( at advanced and intermediate level ) and continuously look to upgrade and hone their teaching and dance skills.

Schedule:
Doors: 6:30
Meeting: 7-8pm
Lessons: 8-9pm
Dance: 9-midnight

Lesson- Members: $5 / Nonmembers : $7
Dance - Members: $10/Nonmembers: $13, Students: $6 with valid student ID
