Its wonderful to welcome back Janie Price, aka Bird, to the Electric Jam having performed with Black Chapel previously, to great acclaim.

On Bird’s latest album ‘Figments of Our Imagination’ Bird showcases her multi-instrumental skills by playing every recorded instrument herself, part-produced by legendary Rolling Stones Producer, Chris Kimsey in London and mixed by Lee Groves in New York.

Following the Top 10 club chart success of the Bimbo Jones remix version of her single Hypnotise, Bird was contacted by some of the UK’s top remix teams wanting to get involved in her project and before too long another album’s worth of material was created. Ten remix versions of the original album’s material featuring tracks by DEVolution, Seamus Haji, Moto Blanco, Full Intention and Wideboys was released under the title “Beat”. The club EP sampler version went to #8 in the Music Week Commercial Club Pop Charts last Autumn.

ALBERT MAN
Praised by BBC Head of Music as a “brilliant singer-songwriter,” Albert Man is an “insightful artist to watch” according to Pledge Music’s managing editor Matt Conner. He has established himself as one of the more interesting songwriters on the London gig circuit with avid support from RockShot Magazine, who compared his songs to that of “Ben Folds in verse, wit and chord changes”. The award-winning, Manchester-born singer-songwriter plays both solo and with a full band, writing piano-led, melodic pop songs described by Fresh On The Net as “sweet piano led shenanigans that come over like the lovechild of Billy Joel and Adam Levine”.

Albert released his eleven-track, self-produced album “Cheap Suit” in 2016, receiving airplay on both FUBAR Radio and BBC radio. The album won the “Best Independent Album” award on the Alternative Friday blog in 2016.

His six-track EP “Nothing Of Nothing Much” was released in 2017 and was recorded at Pete Townshend's barge studio. The EP has received great reviews from publications such as GigSlutz, RockShot Magazine, Fame Music, XS NOIZE, Fresh On The Net, Huffington Post. The single from the EP was played on BBC Introducing London twice, was Song Of The Day in Songwriting Mag and was a feature in iSing Mag. Two songs from the EP have also been chosen by Tom Robinson's Fresh On The Net Fresh Faves. He had a sold out EP launch at St Pancras Old Church and was interviewed by Head of Music at BBC Essex the following week after the launch party.

Albert featured on Best Of British Unsigned as “one to watch” for 2017 saying they “love Albert's sound”. This was swiftly followed up with him being chosen as their featured artist of the day with presenter Matt Graveling saying “I think Albert Man could be in with a cheeky little shout for best unsigned male in next years Unsigned Music Awards 2017.”
