The brainchild of Timothy J Fairplayand Scott Fraser, Crimes Of The Future began at The Berkeley Suite with a view to creating a home for "leftfield house & techno" as well as other outré sounds inspired by krautrock and dub.

Key members of the "WE ARE AXIS" unit operating out of Andrew Weatherall's studio, Fairplay and Fraser are pioneering a new wave of industrial machine music with releases on a variety of labels including Bird Scarer, Emotional Relish, World Unknown, and their own Crimes of The Future imprint.
